What is Condenser?

It is the part located on the outside of the cooling systems, where the gas turns into a liquid by distributing its heat to the surroundings after entering it. By increasing the number of bends in copper or aluminum pipes, the liquid is discharged into the air. Thus, the refrigerant gas in the system becomes cold liquid. The working principle of cooling systems is that the high-temperature and high-pressure gas compressed in the compressor turns into liquid thanks to the condenser and gives its heat to the outside environment.

Why is Condenser Maintenance Important?

The presence of oil, dust and dirt in the condenser causes the condenser to become clogged, not to be able to discharge the heat inside, and to reduce the efficiency of the device. This causes the system to go into high pressure failure. In fact, this malfunction may cause explosion and gas leakage in the condenser pipes of the device, resulting in serious costs for the owner of the device. Condensers should be cleaned by an expert team with medicated chemical cleaners. Leak checks should be made. A visual lubrication test should be performed. This maintenance prevents serious costs as well as unnecessary energy consumption.

What are the Condenser Types?

Condenser type is selected according to the device type. There are 3 condenser types. These; *Evaporative Condenser. *Water Cooled Condenser. *Air Cooled Condenser.

Evaporative Condenser

It is the type of condenser that is least used and its number is decreasing day by day. It is a condenser where air movement and water spray are used together. The use of these types of condensers has decreased because they get dirty very quickly and fail quickly. These condensers consist of three parts: air circulation system, water spray-circulation system and cooling coil.

Water Cooled Condensers

This type of condensers require large capacity and are the least costly in terms of production and use. These condensers are designed by taking into consideration data such as the cooling level of the fluid, pressure drop in the water circuit, water contamination coefficient and thermal permeability.

Air Cooled Condensers

Air-cooled condensers work by cooling the gaseous refrigerant through air. It is the most widely used type because it can be applied to most cooling systems. Low operating costs and easy maintenance and repair make this type of condenser widely used. The way the condenser works is; It proceeds by removing the heat from the gas – cooling the gas in the system – undercooling. Air-cooled condensers are divided into two. These; Static condensers used in silent refrigerators at home, and dynamic condensers with high cooling capacity, used in the food industry, powered by fans, and used as high-capacity cooling in factories.  You can get a quote from our expert team to avoid problems that may lead to high energy usage and costly malfunctions in the future.
